Strengthening sustainable impact in antimicrobial resistance interventions
Project Overview
The ICARS AMR Sustainable Impact Project is a multi-country initiative led by the International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS) to strengthen how antimicrobial resistance (AMR) interventions are designed, implemented, measured and sustained in low- and middle-income countries. The project is developing an evidence-informed Resource Guide and modular Toolkit to help AMR project teams integrate sustainability into programme design and implementation, with a focus on sustainability planning, stakeholder engagement, financing continuity, risk management, monitoring and evaluation, and exit planning. Real-world testing and stakeholder feedback are informing the refinement of these resources.

Refinement & Scale-Up
Feedback and learning from practical use inform refinement of the resources for publication and wider application.
Project Engagement & Activities
The project is being advanced through practical engagement with teams, partners and stakeholders across different settings, creating opportunities to apply the Sustainable Impact approach, exchange learning and strengthen implementation.
